Adult Dosage: Take 1 to 2 capsules daily at bedtime, 2-3 times a week. If desired effect is not obtained, you may take up to one serving each day, drinking water throughout the day. Floralax is a natural laxative with lubricating action. It allows the dissolution of intestinal residue in the large intestine and prevents Intestinal putrefaction. Traditionally used to relieve stomach pain as well as occasional constipation problems, it also prevents fermentation.

As with any laxative, this must be taken at least 2 hours after any other medication. Consult a healthcare practitioner if you suffer from breast pain, vomiting or if you have trouble swallowing or breathing after taking this product, or if you are taking: thiazidic diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root, medication inhibiting peristalsis, heart medication (including cardiac glycosides or anti-arrhythmic) or any other medication or natural products that may upset electrolyte level imbalance. Reduce or cease usage if you feel abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea, or if you suffer from: nausea, vomiting, fever, kidney troubles, esophagus afflictions, intestine paralysis, fecal impaction. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you suffer: abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, existing or potential intestinal obstruction, lazy bowel, appendicitis, large intestine inflammatory disease, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleedings, severe dehydration with the loss of water and electrolytes, hemorrhoids or diarrhea or if you suffer from type 1 diabetes or of disorders of deglutition, or if the taking of another laxative entailed no defecation. Hypersensitivity may appear further to the ingestion of psyllium, discontinue use. May cause flatulences and/or distension. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms worsen or if constipation persists after 7 days of use.
